FRITWELL FAMILY FUN DAY & FLOWER SHOW
Well, what a wonderful day we all had! The sun came out, the people turned up, there were lots of stalls and activities to be enjoyed and the refreshments were great! At the moment it’s looking like an overall profit of around £1200, but accounts have to be finalised. All funds will go to the Village Hall.
This magnificent result could not have been achieved without the significant help and contributions from many people, so the trustees thank all those who helped in any way. Thanks go to Kirsty Lowdon for the schedule, Alistair Lowdon for all his toing and froing and expertise with marquees; to all those who responded to the call for volunteers to put up marquees and set out tables on the day; to all those who served on stalls and activities; to other groups for joining in (we hope they made money for themselves too!); to those who made cakes; a huge thanks to Fritwell Parish Council for their £200 contribution which enabled every Flower show entry to be free and finally to all those residents who contributed so generously to the request for items for stalls. It was truly a team effort from the trustees, but particular thanks to Glynis Lowdon who helped to organise the whole event.
The Flower Show part of the event was still short of entries, but thank you to those who joined in. It was lovely to see entries from different people in all the classes and the entries were all of a very high standard so well done everybody! Particular congratulations go to the trophy winners in the list below & also the raffle winners
