New Hall update 28-Feb-23 from Cass Miller Jones Chair of FVH CIO…

I am pleased to say that this update brings great news – the planning permission for the new Village Hall has been granted. The Trustees of the Village Hall would like to thank everyone who posted supporting comments on the application, these were very helpful and great to read. It feels like a lot of work has gone in to getting us to this point, but we know that the hard work really starts here – the fundraising to enable us to build the hall. To help us on this journey we recently met with a representative of ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England) who gave us some tips and advice on fundraising activities. We will be combining these with our own research to form the basis of our fundraising plan. We want to involve the community as much as possible in these plans, so if you have any fundraising ideas, or want to get involved in other ways, please do contact us on info@fritwellvillagehall.co.uk or come along to our AGM (see below). We are also keen to hear from anyone who may be an expert in VAT. We would value a short conversation to help us understand the implications for the build project.

The Village Hall AGM is on Tuesday 14th March at 7.30pm. Please do come along and ask any questions about the New Village Hall project or to put forward suggestions and ideas.
