We all enjoyed another superb evening of Music, singing, drinking and, unfortunately, COVID at Fritwell Live Night.
Yet another fantastic performer joined us from the Bicester Open Mic. Circuit. Alyce Lorita is not entirely new to Fritwell, as she performed at Front Row as part of Stages Theatrical back in the summer. She has power in abundance and is a great songwriter. Talking of which, we saw a welcome return of Skye Lily with an added new Ukulele, who treated us to original tunes and a Billy Ocean classic dedicated to her grandad!
Robby was back performing a couple of tunes in Welsh. Resident Welsh speaker Sian Campion checked his pronunciation. Speaking of which, The Dyfies played an extended set along with guest bass player Drew Campion. We were treated to another great performance by Ben Wheeler, who just keeps getting better, while Triskel 3 once again performed some great tunes with some polished three-part harmonies. Old Favourite, the artist formerly known as “Christopher from Bicesterpher”, demonstrated his well-deserved climb up the playing order and then, as always, there were the two bookend sets of Frets and Strings! As always, Sir Colin Smith delighted us with, at some points, fruity one-liners, adding jollity and mirth to another fabulous evening.
Mikey Stewart aided the sound and atmosphere on nobs, and the beer flowed freely through some new nozzley gadgets operated ably by Mark and Christine.
Thank you for coming, and we look forward to seeing you again on the 4th of November.
