Relaxed Live Night introduces further new talent…
What a happy night of great entertainment where the audience was in a receptive mood & appreciated the efforts of all the performers & their tipple of choice from the bar.
House band Frets and Strings who got us started – clearly in the mood, followed by Carl Hynes with daughter Jenni (we are going to miss that voice from September)
There was a lovely Fritwell Live introduction to Skye a poet and song writer from Bicester
The audience were delighted to see back solo performers, Christopher (from Bicesterfor) Lydon, Ben Wheeler & Jay McKechnie
Fritwell local lads Incorrigibles were back lead by Jon Boyce (Guitar) and Ian Critchley (Mandolin) with additional vocals from Mick Stiff, Duncan Crowther & Colin Smith
Triskel 3 – Will Vetcher (Guitar and Vocals), violinist Sue Oxley & Shelley Radford on Cahon, vocals and percussion with some lovely harmonising,
Dyfi Junction – Si Campion (Guitar & vocals) & Janine Marchant (flute) from Machynlleth, North Wales delivered their unique soulful sound
The Bard of Bristol (Colin Smith) raised some laughter from his old 2003 emails and comedy internet searches
It would also appear than sound genius Mike Stewart had a relaxed night at the controls.
Huge thanks to volunteer bar staff Christine Denton & Paul Williams for running the FVH bar.
All thanks go in particular to Carl Hynes leader of Frets and Strings for organising Live Nights together with band members, Ian Critchley, Paul Walder and Shaun Calver ably assisting Carl
Also thanks to Sian Campion for the photos below
We really appreciate the support of the people of Fritwell and beyond with monies raised on the night going to the new hall build fund.
The next Fritwell Live date is to be announced.
