Fritwell Village Hall – new shed and storage space erected 16th Sept 2020

Fritwell Village Hall Committee are really pleased to announce the delivery and erection of our brand new shed. We have progressed this project in the last 12 weeks to replace the old garage and two garden sheds with an environmentally friendly larger storage shed from Lifelong Sheds.24 feet x 12 feet.

With two main doors at the front and a side door, this will provide us with easier access to kept the content tidy and the opportunity to re-organise storage of our equipment and indeed bring in some further updating of the hall fabric.

Please see the gallery below displaying the progress from start to finish for the 5 hours from 10am to 3pm 16th Sept 2020 by the 3 person erection team from Lifelong Sheds.

Many thanks for making this happen go to Committee Members: Christine Denton, Glynis Lowdon, Helen Metcalfe, Daniel Kimber and Colin Smith. Also grateful thanks to Alastair Lowdon for his support and expertise.

Fritwell Village Hall – remains closed at this time

As you will no doubt be well aware the Village Hall remains closed for events at the moment. A number of Covid assessments have been carried out which have shown that there would be a restricted people capacity issue (in the order of 25 people max seated at 6 tables) in order to maintain social distancing rules, particularly in regard of “people traffic flow” when accessing toilets & needing to establish a bar to table service. The situation will be kept under review and if anything changes we will announce it via the website and our Facebook page.
