FRITWELL OPEN GARDENS 21st JUNE 2026

We were blessed by lovely weather and welcomed over 100 visitors from as far afield as Reading, Milton Keynes and Witney, as well as those more local to Fritwell. The ten gardens open to the public ranged in size and style, and it was clear that all the gardeners had worked very hard to present some high-quality displays. Fritwell received compliments on its beauty, its gardens, and the friendliness and welcome its people, which was good to hear..

To top it all, we raised £1404 towards a New Village Hall, an amazing result that reflected the enthusiasm and commitment of everyone involved in the afternoon.

As always, these events don’t happen without the contribution of very many volunteers. So special thanks go to the designers of posters and guides, the gardeners, the bakers of wonderful cakes, the donors of raffle prizes and plants and last, but definitely not least, those who gave their time to man the stalls and serve tea and cake.

We hope that this will become a biennial event, so we can all look forward to 2028!

Hopefully some photos to follow…if you have some that you like to share, email them to info@fritwellvillagehall.co.uk or What’s App them to a Trustee or put them on Facebook.
