AFTER SUMMER SUPPER
What a lovely evening, with a plus of £790.20 raised to help funds for a new Village Hall! Almost 50 people enjoyed a wonderful meal of meat, quiches, a range of salads and jacket potato, followed by a selection of fruit crumbles and cream. The atmosphere was friendly and convivial and there was lots of chat and laughter. The Hall was decorated beautifully by Kirsten and Pete Get, helped by the curtains lent by Frets and Strings and the bar serving drinks. The raffle organised by St Olave’s PCC for their funds offered excellent prizes and raised £150.
All this was masterminded by the wonderful Janet Britton to whom we are indebted. Her team of Margaret Boyce, and Melanie Walsh organised the food (with marvellous contributions of quiche, salads and crumbles from an amazing group of volunteers) and set up the Hall. As always, it was a team effort, with additional help in a variety of ways from Trustees of the Village Hall, so our thanks go to everyone involved in any way.
