Live Night 11 (Sunday 8th March 20) Review

For the 75+ standing and seated audience at Live Night 11 at FVH on Sunday 8th March there was a wide range of musical talent showcased.

As well as locally sourced talent there was a warm welcome back for David Bradley (who has played parts in Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones & Broadchurch – amongst many others) who demonstrated his class as actor/showman with some comical intros and good vocals ably backed by house band “Frets and Strings” featuring his son Jack on Cajon while Shaun moved on to incidental percussion and at one point, Jaw Harp! Friend and acting colleague Jemma Powell turned up to watch and brought her husband Jack Savoretti with her. Both were extravagant with their praise and generous with advice – You just never now who may turn up at these excellent evenings!

Carl H & Ian C as the organisers have created a sustained welcoming event and together with Paul W + Shuan C make up the core of Frets and Strings – the house band. Thanks to Mike S for maintaining the sound quality and balance & Christine D + Mike W & David B  for running the bar.

Please see a selection of photos from the evening with Becky’s piano players (Sam G, Emilia G, Commor H, Audrey L, Charlie P, Evie McC, Holly S-S & Emily L) + Carl H & with daughter Jenny, Chris & Will (from Bicester & Chesterton resepctively), Simon and flautist Janine (from West Wales), (regular) Jay (one of Carl’s guitar students from Launton), Carl H, Ian C, Paul W & Shaun C (Frets and Strings) with David Bradley.  We also heard a couple of superb self-penned songs from newbie Kit Goff.

Thanks to Mel H for some excellent photos + video clips.
